Hot stuff

The president of Chile told reporters Wednesday that conditions were "inhumane". in a prison in Santiago. There was a fire that had sizzled eighty-one prisoners. The San Miguel prison was vastly overcrowded as it was. The original capacity of the building had been one thousand, but it was stretched out to around a whopping nineteen-hundred. The President Sebastian Pinero repeated to reporters "The conditions that existed at the prison were inhumane." "This is a terrible tragedy," Health minister Jaime Manalich said,  he had called it the worst incident to strike the country's penal system. The fire started on the fourth floor after a riot among inmates.

  1. This prison really got taken to the third degree, I hope nothing sparks up in the U.S like this.

  2. Chile needs to take care of the people in the prisons as well as the rest of their citizens. This is absolutely ridiculous. The President needs to take action to prevent anything else like this from happening.
